Editorial Policy

Editorial responsibility

Zarvis is operated by Harsh Kardam and publishes general educational guides about US credit and personal finance. Articles identify their author. Read About Zarvis for the site’s purpose and limits. A byline does not imply that the author is a licensed financial adviser or that an independent professional has reviewed the page.

Research and source standards

Guides should explain important terms, assumptions, costs, risks and trade-offs in plain language. Relevant primary sources include the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, FDIC, NCUA, IRS and official provider documentation. Source links are included where they help readers verify an explanation. Rates, eligibility requirements, tax rules and provider terms can change; verify current information with the responsible organization before acting.

Calculator methodology

Calculator pages explain their formulas, input assumptions, worked examples and exclusions. Outputs are estimates, not lender quotes or approval decisions. Mortgage calculations may exclude taxes, insurance, closing costs, fees or changing interest rates unless the page explicitly includes them. Readers should compare the assumptions with their own loan documents.

Review and updates

Content should be checked against its cited sources and revised when a material error or outdated statement is identified. A publication or modification date is not a promise that every rate or rule remains current. Specialist review or credentials are claimed only when the reviewer and review scope are explicitly identified on the relevant page.

Commercial transparency

Paid or affiliate relationships must be disclosed near relevant recommendations or links. Advertising is not evidence that a provider or product is appropriate for an individual reader. See the Affiliate Disclosure and Financial Disclaimer.
